NOT an urban myth. Frenchy Fuqua of the 1970s Pittsburgh Steelers, wore the shoes WITH live fish….and admitted that once in a while, they ended up dead……

P. S. And think about it. PETA or WWF(World Wildlife Fund) or whatever animal rights activist group was around back then-remember the footage of the helpless baby seal being clubbed to death?-would have been all over the manufacturer of those shoes. Urban Myth.

I think this is an urban legend because everybody has heard about them, but nobody has ever seen a pair, or knows a guy who had a pair. I didn’t hear about them until at least the 90′s, and I’ve been trying to find out how they fed the fish since then. The picture you’ve got is from a movie. It’s riduculous enough to give me a good laugh every once in a while.
