Weird Aquariums – ComFish USB Desktop Fish Tank
Measuring about 180x140x55, and available in 4 colours, the ComFish USB Mini Desktop Fish Tank, is the solution for all those who want an aquarium, don’t have too much of space, and without too much of fuss (not to mention want their aquarium to serve as a room humidifier and a night lamp). I seriously doubt the fish in there will agree given the small size. I can never seem to figure out why the Siamese fighter (betta), seems to get the brunt of the miniscule tanks, but more on that later.
Controlled almost entirely from your computer, the ComFish USB Fish Tank comes a USB cable which supplies power to the tank’s LED lights, the water heater, and the oxygen pump, and hooks up with a program that allows you to control all this from your computer.
A little camera in the tank displays what’s going on inside the virtual fish tank on your computer, so you never even have to look at the real fish if you don’t want to (why would you want a fish tank if you don’t want to look at the fish?).
If you really want it, you can get it from here if you are in Korea, else, just hit eBay.

I think Betta splendens get used because a) they are common and tough and b) as anabatoids they can breathe air and hence survive in what (presumably) is not particularly well oxygenated water.
that tank is odious.
Horribly cruel device. The SFF can survive a lot of abuse but not fish will have a good life under such conditions. It’s slow painful torture to them and they will not reach anywhere near their potential longevity. Any fish need 10 gallons minimum and we find SFF live much longer and happier lives when provided a 30gallon plus tank with suitable decor and planting.
The general concept of this tank and its PC link toys is good but it needs to be much much larger.
